Walter and Smith Funeral Home
Willie Dean Russell, 80, of Urbana, died at 7:20 p.m. Wednesday, July 4, 2012, 
in her residence. 
She was born October 10, 1931, a daughter of John Sherman Wells, Sr. and 
Lillian (Collins) Wells.
A 1952 Urbana Local School graduate, she retired from the Drackett Company. 
Willi enjoyed her grandchildren, playing cards, hunting mushrooms and was a 
sports fan of the Cincinnati Reds, OSU Buckeyes Football and NASCAR. She 
was "grandma" to anyone who came along.
Survivors include daughter Carla Lindsey of Urbana; sons Michael G. Russell 
and his wife Elizabeth "Ann" Russell of Urbana and Anthony L. Russell of 
Urbana; grandchildren Michelle M. Switzer of Mechanicsburg, Bradley M. Russell 
of Urbana, Brandon J. Russell of Bellefontaine, Andrew L. Russell, Matthew C. 
Russell and Amanda M. Lockard of Urbana, Bryan A. Lindsay of Urbana, John A. 
Music of Urbana, Ethan C. Grim of Urbana, Jody L. Lindsay of Marysville, 
Robert A. Russell, Joseph L. Russell and Tobias J. Russell, all of Urbana; 
great-grandchildren Brystol, Hunter, Drue, Lilly, Cheyenne, Aubry and Drew; 
sisters Sophia L. Stevens of North Lewisburg, Wavelean Cope and husband Larry 
of California, Coralee Wells of California; sister-in-law Beulah J. Wells of 
Woodstock; brothers-in-law Ralph Markley of Terre Haute and James Preston of 
Urbana.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Tondra F. Anderson, 
daughter-in-law Kelly S. Russell, sisters Magdalena Markley, Clara Fay 
Preston, Imogene Russell; brothers Gus Wells, Ed Wells, Doug Wells, Walter 
Wells, Tommy Wells and John Wells.

The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Tuesday, July 10, 2012, in the 
WALTER & SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 642 S. Main St., OH., where the funeral service 
will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday with Pastor Grant Cordell officiating. 

Burial will follow in Spring Grove Cemetery, St. Paris.
