SCHAFER, Robert L. 92, of Springfield, departed this life Tuesday seven, March 
23, 2005 in Southbrook Care Center. He was born October 10, 1912 a son of 
Harley O. and Viola (Coleman) Schafer. Mr. Schafer had been employed as a 
Heating and Air Conditioning Technician. He leaves to cherish his memory his 
devoted wife, Lillian Schafer; a son, Robert Schafer; four daughters, Marilyn 
(Richard) Vermillion, Marian (Toshiaki) Sakima, Kathy Schafer and Nancy 
Schafer; step children, Tracy Jones, Michael Higgins, Richard Moss, Vaughn 
Moss and Roxane Taylor; six brothers, Marion, Russel, Claude, Harold, George 
and Donald Schafer; four sisters, Doris Short, Dorothy Black, Helen Roach and 
Betty Dannaker; and a number of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other 
relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by an infant brother James 
Schafer and a sister Opal Burris. Visitation will be Thursday from 10-10:30 
a.m. in the ROBERT C. HENRY FUNERAL HOME. Graveside services and burial will 
follow in Oakdale Cemetery in Urbana
