Funeral Home
SHAFFER, Gwendolyn Irene 93, of New Carlisle, Ohio passed away July 30, 2011. 
She was born November 21, 1917 in Thackery, Ohio the daughter of the late 
Thurman & Glenna (Ballentine) Shaffer. She was a member of Asbury United 
Methodist Church, and worked at Wittenburg University, Crowell Collier 
Publishing and retired from Hobart Brothers, Troy, Ohio. She loved crossword 
puzzles and cross stitching. She is survived by a twin sister, Gwelda Gantt; 
brother, Lee & Mick Shaffer; nephews, Richard & Shirley Gantt, Jerry & Dee 
Gantt; nieces, Cinda & Gordon Shea, Rita & Jim Hines; great nieces, nephews, 
other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents she is preceded in 
death by a brother-in-law, Charles Gantt. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Thursday 
August 4, 2011 at the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, New 
Carlisle, Ohio. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Friday in the funeral home. 
Burial will be in Terre Haute Cemetery
