Sharp, 96, of 906 Scioto St. (McAuley Center), Urbana, Ohio, and formerly of St. Paris, died at 2 a.m. Thursday, April 11, 2002, in McAuley Center, Urbana, Ohio, where she had resided since 1997. She was born July 12, 1905, in Maplewood, Ohio, to John Edgar Miller and Lulu (Wright) Miller, both deceased. She attended Staunton Schools in Miami County and was a member of the St. Paris United Methodist Church. She was a former employee of Murphy's Five and Dime, in Troy. She is survived by three cousins, Bonnie (Orville) Weatherhead, of Piqua, Neoma Rush, of Greenville, and Dorothea (Kenneth) Ford, of Fletcher; one nephew, Donald (Jurrene) Shaffer, of Enon; and special friends, Harold (Betty) Reed and Robert Zirkle, all of St. Paris. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert R. Sharp, who she married on Dec. 24, 1938, and who died on Jan. 26, 1997; one sister, Myrl Harvey; and one nephew, Richard Shaffer. Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. April 13, 2002, at the Spring Grove Cemetery on North Heck Hill Road, St. Paris. Pastor Thomas Bolton of the St. Paris United Methodist Church will officiate.
