Helen M. Shelton, 89, formerly of St. Paris, passed away at 4:06 p.m. on 
Thursday, May 1, 2003 in the Wellington Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, 
Urbana. She was born in St. Paris on Sept. 22,1913, the daughter of the late 
Wilbur and Bertha (Grube) Jenkins. Mrs. Shelton was a 1932 graduate of St. 
Paris High School; and had retired in 1972 as a telephone operator for the 
West Ohio Telephone Company. Survivors include several cousins and a special 
friend, Opal Turner of St. Paris. In addition to her parents, Helen was 
preceded in death by her first husband, Gilbert Dovel in 1955; her second 
husband, Floyd Shelton in 1988; and one brother, Herbert Harold Foster. 
Graveside services will be conducted at Evergreen Cemetery, St. Paris, on 
Monday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Douglas Upton from the St. Paris United 
Methodist Church officiating. There will be no visitation. Memorial 
contribution^ may be made in Helen's name to WEEC, 2265 Troy Road, 
Springfield, OH 45504. Richeson-Wickham and Atkins Funeral Home, St. Paris, is 
serving the family.
