The Urbana Daily Citizen
Michael E. Sherman, 72, of Urbana, Ohio and formerly of Churubusco, Ind., died 
on Thursday, December 29, 2011, at his home.

Born in Arcola, Ind. he graduated from Wolf Lake High School and retired in 
1999 from International Harvester in Springfield after more than 37 years. He 
was a member of Maiden Lane Church of God, enjoyed hunting and fishing, and 
especially loved his family.

Surviving are his wife Karen (Boylan) Sherman; sons Steven M. (Joy) Sherman 
and Weston E. Sherman; brothers: Norman, Phil (Grace), Willard "Willie" 
(Salley), and Rick (Lisa); sisters: Barbara (James) Campbell, Nancy Sherman, 
Kathy (Jay) Hostetler, and Jennifer (Mike) Patterson as well as a grandson 
Elijah Sherman. He was preceded in death by his parents Virgil C. and Edna 
(Butler) Sherman; brothers: Clyde "Red," Lester "Les," Paul and Kerry; a 
sister Janice Mann.

Service is 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 4, 2011 at Maiden Lane Church of God 
with Pastor Mark Martin officiating. 

Friends may call on Tuesday, January 3, from 5-8 p.m. at JACKSON LYTLE & LEWIS 
FUNERAL HOME, Springfield and one hour prior to services at the church on 
Wednesday. Burial at Oak Dale Cemetery, Urbana
