SLOCUM, Margaret 85, of Springfield, died at 10:15 p.m. Saturday, March 24, 
2007 in Mercy St. John's Center. She was born in Springfield on April 22, 1921 
the daughter of Anton and Margaret (Fohs) Blattner. She retired from Wells 
Fargo Bank, Sun City, Arizona in 1989 after 20 years of service. Survivors 
include her sister and brother-in-law, Josephine (Joseph) Cocca of 
Springfield; several nieces and nephews including, Phil (Gerrie) Stapf, Rhea 
Taylor, Steven (Theresa) Schroeder, Elisia (Larry) Brugger, Greg, Rick and 
Mark Conwell and several great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in 
death by her first husband, James Outram in 1970; second husband, David Slocum 
in 2003, three sisters, Catherine Stapf, Anna Beach Heck and Elizabeth Harris, 
two brothers, Frank Schroeder and Joseph Blattner and a special nephew, Jack 
Conwell. Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Monday (today) in CONROY FUNERAL 
HOME. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Oakdale Cemetery, 
Urbana
