She was born on July 2, 1927, in Paintsville, Ky, to the late Harvey & Mae (Horn) Williams. Mrs. Stradling was retired from Grimes Mfg. Co., where she was a quarter century club member. She loved to read, travel, and her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Stradling; and her grandson, Jaime VanHoose. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Marilyn Clark of Urbana, Ohio; daughters, Sheryl Dunlavy and Cathy VanHoose, and son, Lou Gregory Stradling all of St. Paris, Ohio. She is also survived by five grandchildren: Michele (Clark) & Michael Leach of Grandview, Ohio, Matthew Clark of Centerville, Ohio, Jessi & Shawn Butz of St. Paris, Ohio, Jeremy VanHoose of St. Paris, Ohio, Jaclyn (VanHoose) & Allan Portis of Urbana, Ohio; 16 great-grandchildren: Lauren & Jacob Leach, Hunter & Adelynne Clark, Jaret VanHoose, Madyson, Mayson, & Trystan VanHoose, Zaine Freeman, Haleigh Arledge, Gage, Jake, Cole Butz, Kinleigh White, Jalyn & Meah Portis. She is also survived by a sister, Ruth Rowley of DeGraff, Ohio; a brother and sister-in-law, Paul & Sue Williams of Staffordsville, Ky.; special granddaughters-in-law: Kylie (VanHoose) Rush & Gina VanHoose; numerous nieces & nephews and special friend Vi Mitchell. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 24, 2013, at 11 a.m in the Atkins- Shively Funeral Home, 216 S. Springfield St., St. Paris, Ohio 43072 with Reverend Dave Kepple of the St. Paris United Methodist Church presiding. Burial will follow in the Spring Grove Cemetery, N. Heck Hill Road, St. Paris. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, June 23, 2013, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the Atkins-Shively Funeral Home, 216 S. Springfield St., Saint Paris, Ohio.
