SWADENER, Wilma P. age 90, of Springfield and formerly of Urbana and Tremont 
City, passed away at 10:14 a.m. on Friday, October 24 in the IOOF Home in 
Springfield. Wilma was born on February 24, 1918 in Jackson Center, a daughter 
of the late William and Bessie (Davis) McBride. She married James "Frank" 
Swadener on July 6, 1942 and he preceded her in death in April of 1996. Wilma 
is survived by two sons, Joe C. Swadener of Tremont City and David L. (Debbie) 
Swadener of Springfield; a daughter Evelyn Niswonger of Urbana, three 
grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and 
husband, a son, Keith D. Swadener, two brothers and two sisters preceded her. 
Wilma was a homemaker all of her life and she attended the Seventh Day 
Adventist Church of Springfield. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 
noon in the Atkins-Shively Funeral Home, 216 S. Springfield Street, Saint 
Paris with Pastor Willis Adams of the Seventh Day Adventist Church of 
Springfield presiding. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation 
for family and friends will be held prior to the funeral service on Monday 
beginning at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home.
