URBANA - Johnnie "Bill" Taylor, 57, formerly of St. Paris, passed away at 6:01 
p.m. Sunday, Oct. 10, 2010, in the Mercy Memorial Hospital, Urbana.
He was born in Columbus June 17, 1953, the son of the late Delbert L. and 
Freda "Boots" (Stanley) Taylor. He married Shirley Taylor on Nov. 14, 1971, 
and she survives in Urbana.
Bill is survived by a son Chris (Leah) Taylor of Huber Heights.
He is survived by two granddaughters, Molli Thomas of Huber Heights and 
Gillian Taylor of Urbana. A brother James Taylor of Columbus and sister Debbie 
(Vonnie) Reed of St. Paris also
survive. In addition to his parents, a daughter Jessica Taylor and two 
sisters, Sue Johnson and Jenny Shaffer
preceded him in death.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1971 to 1977.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Friday in the Atkins-Shively Funeral 
Home, 216 S. Springfield St., St. Paris with Pastor Rick Clos of the Little 
Lighthouse Tabernacle presiding. Two hours of visitation for family and 
friends will be held Friday evening from 5-7 p.m. in the funeral home. A 
graveside funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Evergreen 
Cemetery, North High Street, St. Paris, with military honors by the Veterans 
Elite Tribute Squad of Piqua.
