She was a faithful attendant at the Lena Baptist Sunday School and church. Her faith was fixed in Jesus the blessed Redeemer, in whom she trusted to carry her across the shining river into the Eternal City beyond. She leaves to mourn her departure one sister, Leota, one brother Truman, her mother and father and a host of relatives and friends. On Monday evening she looked at a picture of the Great Shepard hanging on the wall and told her loved ones that He was calling her home. The funeral services were conducted from the Lena Baptist church Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock by Rev J M Smith. The large attendance at the services evidenced the high esteem in which the young lady was held. Interment took place in Evergreen cemetery, St Paris.
