She was bom in Barboursville, W.Va., on Sept. 5, 1926, the daughter of the late Martin Eldridge and Zera (Minor) Stanley. Mrs. Taylor was a graduate of Gallia Academy High School, Gallipolis. In 1990, she retired from Piqua Engineering, Piqua, after 25 years of service. On April 27, 1946, Freda married Delbert L. Taylor who passed away on May 23,1993. In addition to her parents and husband, she was * preceded in death by two daughters, Sue Johnson and Jeanette Shaffer; a grandson, Edward Yohn; a granddaughter, Jessica Taylor; two brothers, James Everett and Edgar Stanley; and two sisters, Edna Draper Bickel and Jocie Cope. Survivors include two sons, Jim Taylor (partner, Brian Schrolucke) of Columbus and Bill (Shirley) Ta\lor of St. Paris; one daughter, Debbie (Vonnie) Reed of St. Paris; a son-in-law, Bob Johnson of Clarksville; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, William F. Stanley of St. Paris and Carlos Stanley of Gallipolis; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, in the Richeson-Wickham and Atkins Funeral Home, 216 S. Springfield St., St. Paris, with Pastor Rick Clos from the Lighthouse Tabernacle, Tremont City, officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, St. Paris.
