THACKERY, Carol Jeanne 85, of Springfield, died Monday morning, June 6, 2005 
in Good Shepherd Village. She was born in Aberdine, South Dakota on September 
5, 1919 the daughter of the late Carlos and Ruth (Gill) Maltby. She had 
retired from GTE in Marion, Ohio. Survivors include a granddaughter, Amy Ruth 
(Thackery) Whitlock and her husband, Raenald; a great granddaughter, Zoe 
Patrice Whitlock; former daughter-in-law, Donna Kagy, all of Blacklick, Ohio; 
and several nieces and nephews. Her son, Leonard Thackery and a sister, 
Virginia Peters preceded her in death. A graveside funeral service will be 
held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Newsom Chapel Cemetery, Urbana with Pastor Dan 
Fiorini of Maiden Lane Church of God officiating.
