abstract
Virgil Thornton, 45 died Saturday in Piqua Memorial Hospital.
Born in South Charleston on Sep 26, 1929, he was a son of Clifton and Clara 
Dement Thornton.
He was an employee of Globe Tool and Engineering in Dayton.  He and his wife 
Joanna, were co-owners of the Meadow Lake Swim Club in Urbana.  He attended 
the First Baptist church.
Survivors include his wife, the former Joanna Mowen, two sons Dale and Phil 
and one daughter Vickie; two brothers Ernest and Everett;and one sister, Mrs 
Robert Amerman(Alma)
Services will be conducted Tues Richeson-Wickham & Adkins Funeral Home by Rev 
Wesley Glines.  Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery
