Wayne, Ind. She was born Sept. 8, 1915, in Miami County, Ohio, to Thomas McBride and Phebe (Lodge) McBride, both deceased. A 1933 graduate of Newton Township High School, Pleasant Hill, she retired in 1980 from Gould Inc., Urbana, Ohio. She was a member of the Rosewood United Methodist Church. She volunteered for numerous activities at Otterbein-St. Marys. She is survived by two daughters, Sharon (Don) Boerner, of Hilliard, and Linda (Dean) Brown, of St. Paris.; seven grandchildren, Joni McQuirt, of Columbus, Lisa Niles, of Springfield, Gary (Tami) Brown, of St. Paris, Dan Brown, of Piqua, Kevin Boerner, of Columbus, Laura Boerner, of Lexington, Ky., and Jeanette (David) Ueberroth, of Toledo; one stepgranddaughter, Karen (Kurt) Doehnert, of Virginia; four great-grandchildren, Mandie, Christopher, D.J. and Jessie Brown, all of St. Paris; two stepgreat-grandchildren, Brian and Jeremy Doehnert, of Virginia; two sisters, Lindelu Cuddeback, of Missouri, and Clara Palmer, of Florida; one brother, Philip McBride, of Ludlow Falls; and a host of nieces and nephews and many friends at Otterbein-St. Marys and the Rosewood United Methodist Church. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thurman Joseph Voke, who she married on Nov. 13, 1935, and who preceded her in death on Nov. 8, 1993; two sisters, Susannah Grove and Lydia Besecker; and two brothers, Samuel and James McBride. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 26, 2001, in the RICHESON-WICKHAM AND ATKINS FUNERAL HOME, 216 S. Springfield St., St. Paris, with Rev. Dr. James Van Zile, pastor of the St. Paris First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Spring Grove Cemetery, St. Paris.
