WALLEN, Phillip Gene 74, of Urbana, went to be with the Lord Saturday, November 
11, 2006. Phillip was born August 7, 1932, along with his twin sister, 
Ernestine Wallen to Isom and Gracie (Vanhoose) Wallen in Whitehouse, Kentucky. 
He enjoyed golf and many other sports, and also enjoyed helping others. He 
retired from International Harvester after 32 years of service. Phillip married 
Elizabeth Butcher on July 5, 1957, in Paintsville, Kentucky, then moved to 
Springfield, Ohio. He is survived by his wife Elizabeth (Butcher) Wallen; 
children, Teddy Gene (Mary) Wallen, Michael Ray (Heather) Wallen, Jerry Wallen, 
Sherry Lynn (Michael) Wallen Wildman, and Mark Eugene (Brandy) Wallen; nine 
grandchildren, Tara Summers, Michelle Wallen, Elisha Gilley, Jessica, Carmen, 
Chloe, Joshua, Codey and Chase Wallen; four great grandchildren, Tyson, and 
Joshua Jr. Wallen, Nathaniel Daly and Paige Elizabeth Summers; siblings, Iretta 
Wallen Justice, Lydia Wallen Meek, Deloris Wallen Burk, ErnestineWallen Berry, 
and Doris Wallen Calvert. He was preceded in death by his parents, and 
siblings, Luella Wallen Osborne, Josiphine Wallen Booth, Leslie Wallen, and 
Earl Wallen. Visitation will be held 5-7 p.m Tuesday, November 14, 2006, in the 
JACKSON LYTLE WILLIAMS FUNERAL HOME, 2425 North Limestone Street, where 
services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 15, 2006, with Pastor Greg 
Browning and Paul Calvert officiating. Interment will follow in Grandview 
Cemetery.
