The Bellefontaine-abstract
Sally Mae Waters, 87, of Columbus, passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2009, at Mt. 
Carmel Medical Center. 
She was born in Leon, W.Va., on April 8, 1922, a daughter of the late Lewis 
Vernon and Anna Mamie Wears Newell. 
On Feb. 9, 1938, she married William Edward Waters and he preceded her in 
death. 
Survivors include a son, John (Traudel) Waters of Columbus; daughters, Joanne 
(Don) Wiley of West Liberty, Linda (Larry) Wright of Thornville and Vicki 
(Mike) Henry of East Liberty; grandchildren, Andreas Michael (Shelia K.) 
Waters, Roswitha Elsa Boyd, Debbie (Jim) Etherton, Cathy (Larry) Middaugh, 
Diane (Jim) Simmons, Kelly (Clint) Bigler, Tommy (Nicole) Wilson, Katie Henry, 
Brice (Jasmine) Henry and Travis (Brandi) Henry; 24 greatgrandchildren; and 
five great-great-grandchildren. 
A 40-year member of the Order of Eastern Star, she was a loving mother and 
faithful wife. 
The Rev. Dr. William Snider conducts a funeral at 10 a.m. Saturday at the 
Spence-Miller Funeral Home, Grove City, where calling is from 4 to 7 p.m. 
Friday. Interment is in Concord Cemetery.
