The Urbana Daily Citizen-abstract
Mary F. Willis, (formerly of Christiansburg) passed away at 8:35 a.m. on 
Thursday, January 6, 2011 in her daughter Joyce's residence in Casstown. Mary 
was born on August 11, 1915 in Troy, Ohio, the only daughter of the late 
William and Stella (Leffel) Helvie. She married Oliver Willis and he preceded 
her in death.  In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in 
death by a brother, Bud Helvie, and two sisters, Martha Campbell and Harriet 
Stone. Mary worked at the Kroger's in Troy for 25 years. She enjoyed the 
Champaign County Garden Club and Homemakers Club. She loved knitting, 
crocheting, quilting, and painting. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday 
at 11:00 a.m. in the ATKINS-SHIVELY FUNERAL HOME, 216 S. Springfield Street, 
Saint Paris with Chaplain John Shelton of Miami County Hospice presiding. 
Burial will follow in Upper Honey Creek Cemetery.
