Wray, 62, of 1943 North State Route 235, Box 403, St. Paris, passed away at 6 p.m. Friday, March 26, 2004, in Mercy Medical Center, Springfield. He was born March 7, 1942, in Piqua the son of Ernest and Ruth (Growdon) Wray. Mr. Wray was a 1962 graduate of Graham High School, St. Paris, and had served in the United States Air Force. Larry was employed as a carpenter with Wray Construction, St. Paris, until 1991 . He was a member of the National Woodcarvers Association. Survivors include his mother of St. Paris; loving companion, Betty Calland of St. Paris; a brother, Lewis (Louise) Wray of Saint Paris; a niece, Gina (David) Vertaney of Phoenix, Ariz.; a nephew, Rusty (Cindy) Wray of St. Paris; and five great-nieces and great-nephews. Larry was preceded in death by his father. A funeral mass will be held at 1 1 a.m. Wednesday in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 121 E. Walnut St., St. Paris, with the Rev. Greg Konerman, celebrant. Burial will follow in Spring Grove Cemetery, St. Paris. A visitation for family and friends will be from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday in the Richeson-Wickham and Atkins Funeral Home, 216 S. Springfield St., St. Paris.
