Mary E. Wren, 95, of St. Paris, died at 4:30 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 25, 2005, in 
her residence. 

She was born July 28, 1910, near Mt. Gillian, the daughter of the late Herbert 
S. and Elizabeth (Bishop) Kelly. She is survived by a daughter and son- in-
law, Suzanne and Bill Slutz of St. Paris; a son and daughter-in-law, James and 
Lavonne Wren of Troy; three grandchildren, Greg (Beth) Slutz of St. Paris, 
Jennifer Slutz of Cincinnati and Kelly (Gerard) Viveiros of Nashville, Tenn.; 
and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her 
husband, Charles Wren, who passed away in 1993; a grandson, Galen Slutz; two 
sisters; and one brother. 

Mary was a 1928 graduate of Quincy High School and a member of the St. Paris 
United Methodist Church. She and her husband, Charles, moved to St. Paris in 
the early 1940s and started the St. Paris Dairy. She also was employed by 
Fueston's Grocery in St. Paris, and retired as the St. Paris Village Clerk in 
1995 after 28 years of service. She was a lifetime member of the Urbana 
Chapter of Order of Eastern Star. She also was a 4-H adviser for the Parisians 
Sewing Club for many years. 

Memorial services for Mrs. Wren will be held at the convenience of the family. 
Donations may be made to Mercy Hospice, 2600 N. Limestone St., Springfield, OH 
or the the Johnson-St. Paris EMS, P.O. Box 271, St. Paris, OH, 43072. 

Atkins-Shively Funeral Home, 216 S. Springfield St., St. Paris, is serving the 
family
