DONNA LOUISE ZERKLE 74, of Springfield, Ohio went to be with the Lord on 
Thursday, November 21, 2002 in University Hospital, Columbus, Ohio. She was 
born October 16, 1929 to Floyd Russell and Ann B. (Woodard) Coon Kissell. She 
was a homemaker and was retired from Mercy Medical Center, Springfield, Ohio. 
Survivors include her mother of Springfield, Ohio; children, Cindy (Jim Peck) 
Divens, Rick (Patty) Zerkle, all of Springfield, Becky (Mike) Karg of Urbana, 
Corey (Kristin) Zerkle of Columbus; grandchildren, Lorie Batten, Tim, Divens, 
Scott Divens, Missy Divens, Kasey Zerkle, Brent Zerkle, all of Springfield, 
Ricky Lee (Jessie) Zerkle of Xenia, Jason Karg, Josh Karg of Urbana; great-
grandchildren, Karrah Batten, Tyler Batten, Kylie Batten, Brandon Zerkle, Myah 
Zerkle, Madisyn Elizabeth Yonts; sister, Carol (Harry) Federspill of Speedway, 
Indiana and a brother, Dale (Marilyn) Kissell of Springfield, Ohio. She was 
preceded in death by her father and husband, Gareth “Gene” Zerkle on December 
16, 1998. She was a member of the Lagonda United Methodist Church. Donna was a 
devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved 
cooking, music, playing her organ and spending time with her family. She was a 
very selfless person, always putting everyone else first. The family will 
receive friends on Sunday, November 24, 2002 from 3-6 p.m. in the WALTER-
SCHOEDINGER FUNERAL HOME, A Dignity Memorial Provider, 642 South Main Street, 
Urbana, Ohio. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 25, 2002 at 10:30 
a.m. with Rev. James Stevenson officiating. Burial in Terre Haute Cemetery
