Additional Comments:
Established in 1841 with the first interment.  The cemetery began on the 
McMorran family land.  The McMorran family sold the land around 1877 to the 
township for a township cemetery.  The name Evergreen was derived from the the 
many Evergreen/Cedar trees which lined. This cemetery is an active cemetery and 
has been well kept by the community and sexton Rick Burnside
