Early in history. School bus drivers had to buy there own school bus. This was Roy's first. It was called a Hack. Roy owned a farm off of Bump and Stevenson Rd north of Mingo, Champaign co. Ohio, where he raised the horses. Not only did he raise horses for the bus or hack, but also for sulky races. Roads in those days were gravel rd. When asked what he did on dates, he replied," I picked the girls up in a horse and buggy and we went roller skating."
