Norton who goes to Columbus & Cin. I am well but very anxious to hear from you not having received a word from Georgetown since leaving from everybody. Could not you write to me. It may be you have done so and it has not yet come to hand. I hope so at least for it is not pleasant to write and get no return where it is possible. Mrs Walker & Sam are well. Sam was in the Battle of "Jerry Creeten". The weather here is soft and balmy, with much rain. We are camped on Judge Cecils ground, living on his farm, eating his hogs & cattle. He ran away to Dixie Land. I have come up to Piketon to get Raven, my black horse shod. Cost $2.00. I expect we will leave here in 8 or 10 days. Dont know when can write you to. Good bye Dear Perry
