The church, established in September 1833, still holds services at 11:00 a.m. every Sunday. Rev. Paul D. Price is the current pastor. The cemetery is no longer in use. The stones for the children are in a straight line directly behind the church. These four stones are still readable and in fair condition. The footstones are being used to prop up the headstones. I verified the recorded information on the stone. The stones for the two Hess women are leaning against a tree some distances to the left of the children's stones. The stones are almost totally unreadable and appear to have been dug out of the ground recently and leaned against the large tree. There are several indentations in the ground near by that look as the stones were lying flat in them. There are five stones against the tree. Two large stones, one in three pieces. Two smaller stones, probably foot stones, and a third head stone that is unreadable. This would indicate that there is another person buried here that was not recorded. The original recording of this cemetery was by George Robinson. No date given. The listing is from a book of Clark County Cemeteries maintained by the Clark County Genealogical Society at the Warder Public Library in Springfield. The information given in parentheses is from other sources also found in the library. Submitted by Dana L.
