Herman Allan Ackerman, 61, of 1012 Villa Rd. died unexpectedly Wed., March 23, 
1921, a son of Harry and Carrie (GOINGS) ACKERMAN. He had been a lifelong 
resident of Springfield. He was former owner of S. A. F. implement Co. Inc., 
in Springfield. He had been an instructor for the Clark United Methodist 
Church. He served on the Advisory Board at Clark Co. 3VS, a member of Fielding 
Lodge No. 192 F & AM of South Charleston. He is survived by his wife, Marian 
(BOYDSTON) ACKERMAN; one daughter, Mrs. Steve (Marianne) STARCHER, Terre 
Haute, Indiana; one brother, Owen ACKERMAN, Sommerford, Ohio; two sisters, 
Mrs. Pearl (Glenna) THOMPSON, Mechanicsburg, Mrs, David CARMAN, St. Louis, 
Missouri; two grandchildren, Eric and Carrie; several nieces and nephews. His 
body was taken to Austin Richards and Raff Memorial Home where friends may 
call 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. On Friday Fielding Lodge will hold ritualistic services 
at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Memorial 
Home with Rev. Stephen Gill officiating. Burial will be in Sommerford Township 
Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the paramedic fund.
