News-Sun, Springfield OH 
Requiem High Mass for Springfield Police Sgt. Richard E. ATCHISON, of 208
W. Columbia St., will be sung at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Raphael Church. Burial 
will be in calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at the O'Brien-Kenney Funeral 
Home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday. The Fraternal order of Police will 
conduct services at 7 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home, Sgt ATCHISON, who had 
served with the police force 14 years, died of a cerebral hemorrhage at 10:40 
a.m. Thursday in Mercy Hospital where he had been admitted Sunday. 
Pallbearers will be Ben Miller, Lawrence Cosby, Gene Morris, Don Wagner, 
Robert Newell and Raymond B. Jordan. Honorary pallbearers include Les Beamish, 
Stanley Beamish, Robert Canny, Paul Booghier,Harland Theopolos, and Thomas 
Evans.
