A native Ohioan, Mr. BENDER was a molder by trade until his retirement some years ago. He was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. Fraternal affiliations include Loyal Order of the Moose and Red Star Lodge, No. 205, Knights of Pythias. In addition, he was a member of the Molders union. Mr. BENDER was born March 18, 1874, and had resided in Springfield for many years. He was the last member of his immediate family. His wife, Sarah, died in 1944. Surviving are several nieces and nephews. The body was taken to the Jackson-Lytle funeral home. Loyal Order of the Moose will conduct services at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
