DEATH OF MRS. GERLAUGH'S FATHER. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur GERLAUGH were recently called to Springfield, Ohio, on account of the death of Mrs. Gerlaugh's father, Mr. C. J. BUTT, we quote from a Springfield newspaper the following account of his death and brief sketch of his life: Heart disease caused the death on Saturday of C. J. Butt, 75, of 460 E. Cassilly St. Mr. BUTT had been resident of Springfield for the past five years and had been a traveling salesman for the American seeding Machine Co., for 30 years. Eleven years ago he was placed on the pension list. He was a former mayor of Osborn, OH., and had served on the city council of that place for 25 years, and was on the Republican central committee of Greene county for some time. Mr. Butt was a member of the Evangelican Lutheran church of Osborn and on the I. 0. O. F. lodge of that town. He also belonged to the united Commercial Travelers. Mr. Butt was twice married, in 1887 he was married to Marqaretta MARSHALL, and three children were born to them of whom two died. Following the death of his first wife, Mr. Butt married Cora Arbogast who survives him with one or two children born to the union. The survivors are his wife and Miss Leila Butt and Mrs. Arthur Gerlaugh of Martinsville, Va. Funeral services will be conducted at the residence Monday. A second service will be held at the Beaver Reformed church in xenia. Burial will be made in Beaver cemetery.
