DIGAN, 71, of 1611 victory Drive, died at 11:45 a.m. Saturday in Mercy Hospital, one hour after her admittance there. She was born October 1, 1888, in Springfield, the daughter of James and Abigail CALLAGHAN DOOLAN, and lived here all of her life, with her husband, Sylvester, who died in 1930. She had operated a dry cleaning business here many years. The business, which was discontinued in 1940, was known as "Digan Dry cleaners." Mrs. DIGAN was a member of St. Joseph's Church, the Catholic Ladies of Columbia 59, and Msgr. Buckley Guild of Mercy Hospital, survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Jean COONEY, Springfield; one son, Thomas J. DIGAN, Dayton; one brother, Ray DOOLAN, Springfield; one sister, Mrs. Margaret MCBEE, Springfield; eight grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
