Barbara Espich, 71, of Springfield died Monday, March 17, 2003 in her 
residence. She was born September 19, 1931 in Xenia, Ohio, the daughter of Fred 
and Neola (Wiant) Snyder. Mrs Espich attended Springfield Church of Christ and 
Lawrenceville Church of God. She served on the Board of Northwestern Local 
Schools for over 20 years. Her survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, 
Bob and Gena Schultz of Tipton, Indiana, Brad and Sara Espich of Springfield; 
and seven grandchildren, Ashley and Jordan Schultz of Tipton, Matthew Schultz 
of Springfield, Mark and Trish Schultz of Huber Heights, Amy Schultz of 
Springfield, Cody and Rebekah Espich of Springfield. She was preceded in death 
by her father in 1992, mother in 2000; her husbands, William Schultz and George 
Espich; and son Bruce Schultz in 1996. A gathering of family and friends will 
be held in the Littleton & Rue Funeral Home, Springfield Thursday from 5 - 8 
pm. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home Friday at 10:00 am with 
Pastor Mike Surgenor officiating. Burial will be in Oak Dale Cemetery, Urbana.
