Rosalie K. "Katie" Fifer, 57, of Springfield, passed away after a brief illness on
on April 11, 2006 in the Ohio State University Medical Center.

She was born on December 24, 1948 in Springfield the daughter of Ben Swope and 
Rosalie (George Landess.  While living in Springfield she worked for many years at
at Big Bear and Kroger Grocery Store.  In 1986 Katie and Craig moved to Florida wh
where she worked at Albertsons Grocers and then returned to Springfield in 2005.

She is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Craig Fifer, Sr., whom she 
married on September 2, 1970.  She is also survived by her mother and step-father,
Rosalie and Donald 
father, Rosalie and Donald Landess of Springfield, daughter and son-in-law, Tocia
Tocia and Eric Holland of Largo, Florida; two sons and daughters-in-law; Tim 
and Cherie Snow of Marysville; and Craig, Jr. and Donna Fifer of Pinellas Park, 
Florida; two sisters and a brother-in-law; Roxzan and Tracy Vander Roest of Ma
Marysville; and Chris Swope of Athens, seven grandchildren; Erika, David, Ni
Nicholas, Steven, Brionna, Jenna, and Elena.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2006 from 
6-8 pm in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME.  Private services will be held at t
the convenience of the family.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may b
be made to the Central Christian Church, 1504 Villa Road, Springfield, Ohio  4
45503.
