He was born Aug. 19, 1930, in Portsmouth, the son of William and Nell Hill Ge George. Mr. George married the former Frieda Frock on Aug. 27, 1950, and she survives. Mr. George owned and operated G & G Associates Insurance in Marysville for 27 years before retiring in 1998. He had been a part-time employee of T Tinsley's IGA since 1998. He was a veteran of the Korean War and a member of the Galilee Lutheran Church in Russells Point. In addition to his wife, Mr. George is survived by one daughter, Kathy (John) Michel or Marysville; three sons, James(Diane) George of Friendsville, Tenn., Michael (Julie) George of Huntsville and Paul (Stephanie) George of Lima; six grandchildren, Leah, Justin, Austin, Meriele, Max, and Alexis; six step-grandchildren, Paul, Chris, Shane, Sean, Justin and Megan; one step grandchildren, Paul, Chris, Shane, Sean, Justin and Megan; one step-grant-grandson, Dakota; and three sisters, Fern Sammons of Springfield, grandson, Dakota; and three sisters, Fern Sammons of Springfield, Rosalee (Don) Landless of Springfield, and Essie Trittle of Springfield, He was preceded in death by one sister and six brothers. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Monday at Galilee Lutheran Church , with Pastor David M. Buckenroth officiation. Interment will take place at 2:30 p.m. Monday in Glen Haven Memorial Park, Donnellsville. Friends may call from 2 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the church.
