Services for Mrs. Ruth A Marsh Herdman, 84, of Springfield, formerly of Pike 
County, are planned at 1 pm Tuesday at Morgantown Church of Christ in 
Christian Union, of which she was member.  She died Friday in a Springfield 
hospital after a long illness.  She was a native of Latham.  Her husband, 
William Arthur Herman, died in 1963.  Surviving are a son, Edwin of 
Springfield;four daughters, Mrs. Martha CAMPBELL of Bainbridge, Mrs Virginia 
BARKER of Waverly and Mrs. Betty HEIDER and Mrs Barbara Finney, both of 
Springfield; 10 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Reverands Lewis Vair 
and James McCain are to officiate the services, with burial in Gardner 
Cemetery.  Friends may ball at Botkin Funeral Home from 4 to 9 pm today
