He was born September 8, 1891, in Springfield, the son of Ludwig and Elizabeth (SAUTER) JUNG and has resided here all his life. He was employed as a machinist for the James Leffel Company for a number of years, retiring in 1946. Mr. JUNG was a member of the St. Bernard Catholic Church and the Holy Name Society of the parish. He served in Frances with the U.S. Army during World War I. Survivors include four brothers, Joseph, Louis, Henry and Albert; one sister, Mrs. Ann SHEPARD, all of Springfield, and a number of nieces and nephews. A sister, Mary O'CONNOR, preceded him in death. His body was taken to the Conroy Funeral Home where friends may call from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday. Visitation services there at 8 p.m. Sunday. A Funeral Mass will be sung at 9 a.m. Monday in the St. Bernard Catholic Church. Burial will be in the St. Bernard Cemetery.
