Keiffer, 82, died at 3 a.m., Friday, in his home, Springfield, Route 1, National rd., west, following a one year period of failing health and a serious illness of one week. He was born May 3, 1859, in Clark County, where he had lived all of his life. He was a carpenter by trade. Mr. Keiffer was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church. He leaves his widow, Mrs. Ida B. Keiffer, five daughters, Mrs. Stella Sheley Freet and Mrs. Maude Souders, both at home; Mrs. Glenn Bean of Mechanicsburg; Mrs. Beulah Wendt of Springfield, and Mrs. Opal Dudley of Cincinnati; one son, Harry M. Keiffer; seven grandchildren; one great grandchild and one brother, Elmer Keiffer of Springfield, route 1. The body was taken to the Littleton funeral home and will be returned to the residence Saturday morning. Funeral services will be held at the St. Paul Lutheran Church at 2 p.m. Monday in charge of the pastor, the Rev. T. A. Kantonen. Burial will be made in Vale Cemetery.
