LANDESS, of Springfield went home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 19, 2011 at Dayspring Care Center in Fariborn. She was born in Porsmouth Porsmouth, Ohio on April 3, 1928. She moved here with her family during childhood. She was employed by Springfield City Water Dept. and aslo did catering for many receptions and weddings. She was a longtime member of Central Christian Church. She gave many hours in caring for the church gardens and any task needed. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Rosalie is survived by her husband, Donald of 41 years, her sisters, Fern G. Sammons, Essie Mae Tritle, daughters, Roxanne Vender Roset (Tracey) of Maysville, Ohio and Christine Swope of Springfield; gandchildren, Tim Snow (Cherie) of Maysville, Tocia B. Holland (Eric); Tonia Parkhurst (Tom); Craig Fifer, Jr. (Donna); Bradley McDaniel (Angie) of Plain City; Ryan McDaniel of St Paris; Meggin Oberbey of Urbana; Joe Kunkel of Athens; great grandchildren, Erika Holland, Nick Holland, David Hanson, Steve McDonald, Elena Snow, Brionna Fifer, Jenna Fifer, Ashlyn McDaniel, Colyn Evelyn, Emma, Ellie and Jack McDaniel, Brody and Carson Overbey, Mikayla Kundle and Chloe Rosalie Kunkel and her dear grand dogs Katie and Hercules. Rosalie was preceded in death by her parents, William and Nell George, daughter Kaizan Rosalie Fifer; siblings, William, Jr., Walter, Virgil, Forrest, Frank, Katherine, John and Dale George. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, Auguat 22, 2011 from 5 - 8 p.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME. A celebration of h her life will be held on Tuesday at 1 p.m. with visitation one hour prior to t the service in the Central Christian Church with Pastor Warren Banks o officiating. Burial will follow in the Glen Have Memorial Gardens. In lieu of f flowers please send memorial gifts to the Central Christian Church, 1504 Villa R Road, Springfield, Ohio 45503.
