Matthews, 2500 Signal Hill rd., died at 2:30 pm. Wednesday in Mercy Hospital of cystic fibrosis following several weeks illness. Ann was a third grade pupil in the Ridgewood Elementary School and attended Covenant Presbyterian Church. Survivors other than her parents include one brother, Thomas Anderson Matthews, III; one sister, Mary Bonser Matthews; and her maternal grandmother, Mrs. Fred M. Wallace of Springfield. Her body was taken to the Jackson-Lytle funeral home but was returned to the residence where friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. Services will be held in the residence at 3 p.m. Friday with the Rev. Alexander Meakin of Covenant Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the National Cystic Fibrosis Research Foundation, 16516 Walnut st., Philadelphia, Pa.
