Aug 15, 1902, "The Sun" newspaper, Springfield, Clark Co, OH, front page:
John A Miller Dies.
John A Miller, aged 70 years, the father in law of City Clerk Robert Lantz, 
died last evening at his home on Pearl St. His death was caused by senile 
gangrene.
Mr Miller was born in Wurtenburg, Germany and has lived in this city for the 
last 26 years. He was a member of U.V.U. and a well known man about the city. 
He is survived by a widow and 10 children; 5 sons and 5 daughters. They are: 
Mrs. Robert Lantz of this city, Mrs George Stevens of Urbana, Mrs. A J Kait, 
Mrs William Stoessel and Mrs Milton Neidlinger of Dayton, and Edward, Robert, 
Alexander C, Walter and Lawrence Miller, all of this city. 
The funeral announcementt will be made later.

"The Sun", Aug 16, 1902, pg 4:
The funeral of John A Miller will be held this afternoon at two o'clock from 
the residence, 208 East Grand avenue. Burial at Ferncliff.
