OBITUARY TEXT: OLDS, Carl, age 88, of 201 Alberta St., Dayton, passed away
Friday at his residence. He was born Nov. 4, 1891 in New Carlisle, Clark Co.,
Ohio. He was a supervisor for Dayton Power and Light Co., retiring in 1956 after
38 years with the company. A Dayton Power and Light Company Key Club member, a
25 year club member of D. P. & L., a member of Dayton Lodge No. 147 F & AM,
Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton, Antioch Temple and Shrine. He was also a member
of the Antioch Marching Patrol for 18 years and a Red Fez member and a member of
Antioch Seniors. He was preceded in death by 2 sons; LeRoy OLDS in 1966 and
Richard OLDS in 1969, a daughter Helen GUSSETT in 1968. He is survived by 2
daughters, Mrs. Samuel (Dorothy) LOBESE of San Jose, Calif., Mrs. Donald
(Carleene) ROE of Dayton; 1 sister Mrs. Lenna ARMSTRONG of Christiansburg, Ohio;
2 brothers Evert OLDS of Springfield, Ohio, Raymond OLDS of Piqua, Ohio. Also
survived by 17 grandchildren. Funeral services 11 a.m. Tuesday Tobias Funeral
Home 648 Watervliet Ave. Pastor Edward A. Puff officiating. Interment Memorial
Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 Monday at the funeral home. Submitted
