Kay M. Glaesner, pastor of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. Burial will follow in Enon Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Sunday. Mr. RIFE died at 8 a.m. Saturday in his residence, 514 N. Wittenberg Avenue, after a lengthy illness. A natiye Springfielder, he was born November 5, 1921, the son of Statton and Nettie PAYNE RIFE, and lived here all his life. A veteran of World War II, he was employed by the Rawac Plating Co. Survivors include three sons, Bernard, Clarence and Millard RIFE of Springfield; a daughter Miss Karen Sue RIFE of Kokomo, inc.; his mother; five brothers, Charles, Clarence, Robert, Marvin and Arthur RIFE, all of Springfield; four sisters, Mrs. Melvina GUISINGER, Mrs. Bessie MCCORMICK and Mrs. Ruth HENSLEE all of Springfield, and Mrs. Leighfee LITTON of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and several nieces and nephews.
