SAUTER, 52, Is Found Dead At Desk. John M. SAUTER, 52, of 1908 Lagonda Avenue, a water treatment attendant at the Rockway plant of the Ohio Edison company, was found dead at his desk in the plant about 1 p.m. Saturday. Death probably was caused by a heart attack, according to Clark county coroner Austin Richards. The coroner said an autopsy will be conducted Sunday morning. Mr. SAUTER reportedly had suffered no previous attacks. The body was found by a plant engineer and a fireman, it is believed Mr. SAUTER had been dead several hours. However, another employee had talked to Mr. SAUTER about 9:30 a.m. several charts the victim had been compiling lay on the desk. Mr. SAUTER had been employed by Ohio Edison about 12, years. He was born in Springfield April 24, 1898, a son of John and Pauline AUCKERMAN SAUTER. He was a life resident of Springfield. A member of Anthony Lodge NO. 455, F. and A.M. Mr. SAUTER also was a member of Home City Chapter 258, Ohio Eastern star. He was president of the Ohio Edison Power club. He was graduated from Springfield High School in 1916 and served at the ROTC training camp at Wittenberg College during world war I. Surviving are the widow, Louise; a daughter, Betty LOW, at home, and two nieces. The body was taken to the Littleton funeral home for funeral services at 2 p.m. Tuesday, the Rev. Richard Hoeffler, officiating. Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery.
