Vendrick is Thrown From Wagon and Dies a Few Hours Later. Benjamin F. Vendrick, 64 years old, was thrown from a wagon yesterday afternoon, when his horse became frightened and as a result of injuries sustained he died last evening at 10:40 p.m. The accident which caused Mr Vendrick's death happened about 3 p.m. yesterday. Mr Vendrick was driving a wagon belonging to Frank Curry, for the International Harvester, when suddenly the horse became frightened and balked. The gade driver was thrown from the seat and the vehicle passed over his body. Dr. Morrow and Dr. Whitacre did all in their power for the injured man, but last evening he died from the injuries. He is survived by a widow and three children, J.W. Vendrick of this city, D.R. Vendrick of Zanesville and Mrs. Dora M. Hamilton of Zanesville. The funeral will be held Thrusday morning from the residence on Lagonda Avenue and the body will be taken to Zanesville, Mr Vendrick's former home for burial. {Springfiled, News page 3 --- 16 June 1909} ==========OH-FOOTSTEPS===========
