Includes dates of service under Capt. Aaron Remers - Willcocks' New York Militia Cavalry 11/8/1813-12/14/1813 Fort George and under Capt. Roger Sutherland of McMahan's New York Militia Cavalry 8/3-9/9 (no year or location of service given. Affidavit of Marriage to Jane Dill and affidavits of long acquaintance from friends. Was awarded 160 acres of land V.71.471 Additional Comments: The War of 1812 records are the first documents yet to be found for Richard Delino/Dillino. DNA tests have proven that he was not related to the Delano Family. Searches have found that there were/are Delinos in Canada not related to the American Delanos. So perhaps Richard sprung from Canada as so many of Col. Joseph Willcocks' cavalrymen did.
