Wilma Ruth Wisecup Simpson Wilma Ruth Wisecup Simpson, 79, of Wilmington, died at 9:09 p.m. on Wednesday, July 17, 2002 at Wright Patterson Air Force Base Medical Center. She was born on April 1, 1923 in Martinsville, Ohio, to Leona Mae (Lowman) and Ernest Pinkerton Wisecup. Mrs. Simpson was a member of the Wilmington Church of Christ and a graduate of Martinsville High School. She was preceded in death by her parents; and six brothers, Chester, Charles, Myron, Bill, Bob and Paul Wisecup. Mrs. Simpson is survived by her husband, Franklin D. Simpson, whom she married on 2 April, 1966; four daughters and sons-in-law, Sharrie Harding (Norman) Akens of Chicago, Ill., Diana "Dee" (Jack) Tamplin of Wilmington, Joyce Ann Lehman (Greg) Wickert of Orland, Calif., and Lisa Lynn (Butch) Salmon of Robins Air Force Base in Georgia; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Gary William (Rhonda) Lehman of Wilmington and David Thomas Lehman of Berkley, Calif.; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Don (Brenda) Wisecup and Mervyn (Catherine) Wisecup, all of Wilmington; a sister, Norma J. Stanforth of Wilmington; grandchildren, Michael (Ellen), Tom and Matt Harding, Janenne (Tom) McLaughlin, Catherine Akens, Cynthia (Ken) Harrah, Julie (Steve) Brown, Susan and Jack (Carey) Tamplin, Brian E. and Christina Lynn Culberson, Jessica, Ashleigh, Joshua and Chelsea Salmon, and LuAnn and Bobby Lehman; 10 great- grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. The funeral service will be held at the Wilmington Church of Christ, 909 W. Locust St., Wilmington, at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 20, 2002 with Minister Keith Dimbath officiating. Burial will be in Sugar Grove Cemetery, Wilmington. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, July 19, 2002 at the Wilmington Church of Christ. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 5400 Dupont Circle, Suite J, Milford, Ohio 45150 or to the Wilmington Church of Christ.
