Gilson, aged 20 years and 5 months, died at the home of Richard Rue, 122 Sophia street, Sunday evening at 7 o’clock. Mr. Gilson was born in Madison township, this county, and lived there until about two years ago, when he removed to this city with his parents. He was employed as driver for Mr. W.H. Surles, and was a very steady, upright young man. His mother, Mrs. Ellen Rogers, of Hookstown, Pa.; two sisters, Mrs. Lewis Grate and Mrs. Frank Clunk, Lisbon, and two brothers, Oscar and John Gilson, of this city, survive him. Deceased was a member of the Madison Presbyterian church for about four years. He was also a member of Company E, Eighth regiment, O.N.G. of this city. Services will be held at the home of his grandparents, William Allison, Second street, Tuesday at 9 o’clock, after which the remains will be taken to Madison church, where services will be held and interment occur.
