The funeral of Benjamin Dawson, whose death occurred at his home in Smiths 
Ferry Friday evening, took place at 10 o’clock Monday morning from the late 
residence. The remains were interred in the Georgetown cemetery. Capt. W.F. 
Dawson and J.H. Dawson, of this city, relatives of the deceased, attended the 
funeral.
