He was a Newcomerstown iceman for 50 years. He was born Aug. 3, 1883 in Coshocton, a son of William and Evaline Courtright Callentine. His first wife, Elizabeth Wise, died in 1939 and he was remarried to Zella Shaw, who died March 18, 1963. Surviving are one daughter, Dorotha Carter of Coshocton; three sons, John A. of Akron, Albert of Boynton Beach, Florida and Donald of Worthington; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. One son, four brothers and three sisters are deceased. Services will be conducted at 11 am Tuesday at the Addy funeral home in Newcomerstown with Rev. George Shurtz in charge. Burial will be in South Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call the funeral home today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.
