Born September 6, 1942, in Norwalk, he was the son of Mrs. Vera Kinkead and the late Daniel Leo Callentine. He made his home with his aunt, Mrs. Blake Moninger of Columbus for several years. He attended Newark High School and was graduated from a Columbus High School. He served with the Navy one year and was employed by George d. Roper Corp. He was a member of Central Church of Christ, American Federation of Musicians Local 122, and Disabled American Veterans. Surviving in addition to his mother and aunt are his widow, Sue Shults Callentine, his step father, Arthur Kinkead of Columbus; a sister, Mrs. W. F. Winn in Melbourne, Florida and a step brother, W. P. Kinkead of Columbus.
