Va., where he was admitted July 27 after an apparent heart attack. Mr. Conkle was born Sept. 3, 1917, the son of Lewis M. and Lydia Farver Conkle. He was a local building contractor and owner of Conkle Car Company on Route 5. He was a member of the Coshocton F&AM Masonic Lodge 96, Samaritan Chapteer 50, Royal Arch Masons, Consocotn Council 11, Coshocton Commandery 63, Laddin Temply, Columbus, Coshocton Shrine Club, coshocton Elks Lodge 376, Coshocton County Sportmans Association. He was also an ardent hunter. He mnarried June Matchett, January 28, 1940, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Ernest S., Jr., 302 Whitewoman St., Roscoe Village and Roger Allen at home; one daughter, Mrs. Edward (Shirley) Norris, Coshocton Route 5; one brother, Ira, Baltic Route 5; and two grandchildren. One son, two brothers, one sistere, and one granddaughter preceded him in death. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Given Funeral Home, here, with the Rev. Forrest Lamneck officiating. There will also be Masonic services at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow Thursday in Memorial Gardens. Calling hours will be from 2-4 and7-9 p.m. Wednesday and until time of the seervices Thursday.
